Permanent position starting 01 September 2018

32.5 hours a week, 39 weeks a year (term time plus INSET days)

MKET Pay Scale 2 ranging from point 1 (£16,500 FTE) to point 4 (£18,000 FTE) dependant on experience.

Hours: 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday

Heronsgate is a large key stage 2 junior school on the eastern flank of Milton Keynes and is one of the academies within the Milton Keynes Education Trust (MKET). We require an additional teaching assistant to join us to work alongside our existing team.

In particular we are looking for a person with:

  •  a genuine love of children
  •  the desire to help the children achieve their full potential
  •  the ability to work closely with children on a 1:1 basis

Duties will include:

  •  leading intervention groups for maths, English, speech & language and guided reading
  •  playground duty
  •  lunchtime duty

Experience of working within a school setting is preferable though not essential.

MKET Support Staff Pay Scale 3 ranging from 3.1 (£18,500 FTE) to 3.4 (£20,000 FTE)

Hours: 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday with 30 minutes lunch

Heronsgate is a large key stage 2 junior school on the eastern flank of Milton Keynes and is one of the academies within the Milton Keynes Education Trust (MKET). We require an additional well-motivated learning support assistant specifically with proven experience of working with children with SEMH, behavioural and SEN issues.

The successful applicant will work 1:1 with specific children allocated to them. They must be able to use their own initiative and follow a personalised curriculum in conjunction with and under the supervision of the class teacher and Inclusion Manager. Main MKET Pay Scale - £23,500 to £34,500

Heronsgate is a popular key stage 2 academy on the eastern flank of the new city and is part of the multi academy Milton Keynes Education Trust (MKET). Our current roll is 495 pupils aged 7 to 11 years.

We require a full-time permanent class teacher from September 1st 2018. You will be joining very supportive colleagues who plan collaboratively and work together as a "family". Heronsgate uses the Milton Keynes Education Trust teachers' salary range (details available online).

Applications from students who will be NQT’s in September are very welcome, a financial package is available to support successful candidates during the summer recess. The school can offer a very effective induction programme for newly qualified staff.
