Breakfast Club

Premier Sport also runs our Breakfast Club from 7.30am to 8.30am each week day during term time.

Children start with a game or sporting activity and have toast or cereal, and a drink before being brought into school at 8.30 am.

If your child is attending the Breakfast Club it is essential that you hand them over to the Premier Sports Coach in the main hall. This applies to all children using Breakfast Club whatever age they are.  Parents/carers are responsible for delivering their children directly to the Coach to ensure that their child has arrived safely.

All Breakfast Club users are asked to complete a short registration form the first time they visit, this is to ensure that the Coaches have the relevant medical information and contact details. Although the School Office has this information, the Breakfast Club operates before the arrival of our Office staff. It is, therefore, essential that they have quick access to up to date and accurate information.

You do not need to book a place and you can choose to use the Breakfast Club daily, on regular days, or on an ad hoc basis. The Coaches vary the games over the week and children are encouraged to share their ideas and make suggestions. If you plan to make regular use of the Breakfast Club, it is useful to inform the Coaches as this can make a difference to the activities on offer.

Breakfast Club enables parents and carers to make the most of their day: getting an early start to work, to attend training, fit in some exercise or make appointments. For children, it is an enjoyable way to start the day with other children - having active fun. For those children who find the start of the day stressful, Breakfast Club is a calm way to ease them into the day. For some children – it motivates them to get up quickly.

Costs

The charge is £4.50 per day per child if you pay on the day. This can be paid directly to the Coaches. The charge is reduced to £3.50 per day per child if you pay online.

All families who currently claim Free School Meals, or who have done so in the past six years, qualify for Breakfast Club for free. This is paid for as part of our Pupil Premium funding. In order to keep families’ information confidential, Premier Sport have not been given a list of those eligible for free places. Before sending parents a bill, Premier Sports, check with the School Office whether any of the participants qualify for a free place.

We strongly urge parents to make use of our Breakfast Club. Premier Sport and the School, welcome feedback on the way the Clubs work.

Premier Sport can be contacted directly and you can use the online booking service at www.premiersport.org.
